Born Nottingham, England, in 1938, David Leverett studied at the Nottingham College of Art and the Royal Academy School. Since 1965, Leverett has had numerous solo exhibitions worldwide. In 1990, David Leverett received the first Sargant Scholarship to study for a year in Rome. His work is represented in major museums including the Tate Gallery; Victoria and Albert Museum; Museums of Modern Art in Brazil, Switzerland and Poland.
