Hanna Kay was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where she held several exhibitions before moving to Europe in 1971 to further her artistic interests. After studying and exhibiting in Austria and Germany she transferred her studio to New York, where she lived and worked for almost a decade, exhibiting in the U.S., Europe and Israel. Since 1989 she has been living and working in Sydney, Australia.

Her work has been reviewed extensively and is represented in numerous public and private collections around the world.
