Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina 1902.

Raquel Forner completed her studies at the Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires in 1923. From 1929-1931 she received tuition from Othon Friesz to study at the Scandinavian Academy, Paris. Forner's subject matter concerns humanity and events of her time. Using fantasmagorical beings and a powerful, expressionistic-surrealist style in her painting, she often worked in series. Her work has been exhibited and collected worlwide.
